What's the difference between virgin and non-virgin cartridges?

A virgin cartridge can be described as:

  • An original cartridge, such as HP or Lexmark.
  • A cartridge that has not been refilled.
  • A cartridge that carries no branding other than the original manufacturer.

A non-virgin cartridge can be described as:

  • A cartridge that has been refilled previously.
  • A cartridge with a label for another company, such as Cartridge World, Tesco or Asda.
  • A cartridge with extra holes or with its label removed.
